Description The LG SDK for Mobile Widgets allows developers to create widgets for LG mobile phones quickly and easily. The LG SDK for Mobile Widgets is based on the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Widgets 1.0 specifications, supports a subset of the Open Mobile Terminal Platform (OMTP) BONDI 1.01 Approved Release, and includes some LG specific APIs. The LG mobile phone supporting installation of widgets created with the LG SDK will be available soon.

System Requirements
Please make sure that your development computer meets the hardware and software requirements for the LG SDK for Mobile Widgets. Install any additional software needed before downloading the LG SDK for Mobile Widgets. Software Requirements - Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4 / XP / Vista
- Windows Media Player 7.1 or higher (necessary when using Multimedia APIs)
- Additional codecs should be installed to play multimedia files such as OGG and 3GP
Hardware Requirements - PC camera (necessary when using Camera APIs)
Download and Installation
Select the latest version of the LG SDK for Mobile Widgets from the version list and download it to your development computer. To install the SDK, simply run the installer, LMWS-setup-<version>.exe. Follow the instructions provided by the installer.

Set the Editor and Skin
Once you have successfully installed the LG SDK for Mobile Widgets, it is recommended that you set an editor program and skin to help you conveniently develop your widget. For more information, please refer to Setting the Editor and Skin.

Getting Started
The steps for developing a widget with the LG SDK are as follows:

  • 1. Create a new widget.
  • 2. Create the main document.
  • 3. Create the configuration file.
  • 4. Create image files.
  • 5. Create the style sheet and JavaScript files.
  • 6. Debug the widget.
  • 7. Run the widget on the Widget Viewer.
  • 8. Package and install the widget.
