The LG Mobile Developer Network site has just been redesigned and upgraded for better developer services. The new LG Mobile Developer Network site is a more developer-centered site with a new look and feel.
New features and upgrades to the LG Mobile Developer Network site include: · An easier structure to make access to necessary information · Developer resources for LG widget development · Real device testing services · Feedback on the quality of developer resources
An easier structure to access necessary information The site navigation has been changed to make it easier to access information that developrs are looking for. On the site's main page, developers can get links to technical resources for Java applications and widget development. Get Started provides information about how to develop, test, and distribute a mobile application on the LG Mobile Developer Network. The Docs&Tools pages include 'Related Resources' and 'Related Phones' links to provide developers with relevant information related to specific documentation and tools. The members of the LG Mobile Developer Network can configure their My Page where they can add RSS widgets that enable viewing the latest content in the LG Mobile Developer Network.
Developer resources for LG widget development The new site includes developer resources for LG widget development. The LG Mobile Widgets SDK and documentation to begin developing widgets for LG mobile phones have been available. Developers can share their widgets and give feedback on interesting widgets from other developers.
Real device testing services The new site supports real device testing services such as the LG Virtual Developer Lab and OTA downloads. The LG Virtual Developer Lab powered by DeviceAnywhere™ enables developers to remotely access real LG mobile devices in live global networks for application and content development, testing, porting and monitoring on LG mobile devices. The OTA download service enables developers to download their Java applications onto their real LG mobile phones over the air (if supported by the phone) for testing.
Feedback on the quality of developer resources Developers can provide comments on all of the Docs&Tools pages, as well as rating the quality of the Docs&Tools pages using a five-star scale. Feedback from developers will be used to improve the quality of developer resources.
